In a significant step towards reviving operations at Tobruk Port, the MAGNAFICA tanker docked today at the port’s quay, carrying a shipment of 30,000 metric tons of gasoline. This marks the first shipment to arrive at the port since its operations ceased in November 2021. The reopening of the quay is expected to save substantial costs previously incurred from transporting fuel from Benghazi Port to the Tobruk Power Plant, as well as reduce delivery times and ensure a steady supply.
On this occasion, the Chairman and members of the National Oil Corporation’s Board of Directors extended their gratitude to Brega Oil Marketing Company’s management and staff for their efforts in reactivating this essential quay after years of inactivity. They also acknowledged the support provided by the responsible authorities at Tobruk Port.
