The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) recently welcomed a prominent Turkish delegation to explore new avenues for collaboration in the hydrocarbon and mining sectors. The delegation, led by Mr. Nail Yildrim, Director of the International Society for Mineral Research and Exploration, included key Turkish officials such as Mr. Bahdari Kalpakci, Director of Strategy and Business Development at MTA International Company - Exploration and Mining, and Mr. Mustafa Uludag, First Secretary of the Turkish Embassy in Morocco. The meeting also saw participation from senior officials across both public and private sectors.
The discussions centered around potential investment opportunities, with both parties expressing mutual interest in deepening cooperation between Morocco and Turkey. ONHYM and Turkish companies explored areas of partnership that could enhance both nations' energy portfolios, particularly in hydrocarbons and mining.
This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations, further cementing Morocco’s role as a key player in the region's energy and mining landscape while providing Turkish companies a gateway to new ventures in North Africa.
ONHYM remains committed to fostering international collaborations, particularly those that contribute to the development of Morocco’s rich natural resources and its growing role in the global energy transition.
