Mellitah Oil & Gas has set its sights on a significant boost in production, with expectations of increasing its output by 30,000 barrels per day. The corporation discussed its ambitious plans during two technical meetings held on Wednesday and Thursday, where officials reviewed the company's ongoing and future projects for 2024, focusing on both onshore fields and offshore platforms.
During the meetings, Mellitah’s management also outlined the company’s projected budget for 2025, emphasizing the critical role of these projects in achieving the desired production increase. Among the key developments discussed was the work being carried out on Marine Structure (A), a project expected to transport approximately 160 million cubic feet of gas per day to the Mellitah Industrial Complex. This initiative aims to enhance the stability of gas supplies, ensuring a more reliable energy future.
The discussions were attended by directors from the corporation’s technical departments, members of Mellitah’s management committee, as well as specialists, technicians, and financial experts from both sides. Representatives from Libyan and Al-Jawf technology companies, along with the foreign partner, Italian energy giant Eni, were also present, underlining the collaborative effort driving these strategic projects.
The meetings underscored Mellitah’s commitment to maintaining and expanding its production capabilities, with the corporation poised to make substantial contributions to Libya’s energy sector in the coming years.
