The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Tuesday that Libya's crude oil production has reached a significant milestone of 1,254,000 barrels per day. In addition to crude oil, condensate production during the past 24 hours reached 54,141 barrels per day, and natural gas production stood at 200,483 barrels.

This announcement follows a series of strategic plans and initiatives aimed at bolstering Libya's oil and gas sector. On June 11, the NOC revealed its ambitious plan to drill 121 new wells in 2024 to further explore and harness oil and gas resources. This effort is part of a broader strategy that includes the maintenance of approximately 1,335 existing wells to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of oil production operations.

During a meeting on June 9 with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, NOC Chairman Farhat Bin Gadara emphasized the corporation's commitment to significantly boosting production levels. The primary goal is to increase crude oil production to two million barrels per day by the end of 2025, highlighting the NOC's proactive approach to meeting future energy demands and contributing to Libya's economic stability.

These developments underscore the NOC's pivotal role in the country's energy sector and its continuous efforts to optimize production capacities. The planned drilling and maintenance activities are expected to enhance the overall performance and output of Libya's oil and gas industry, positioning the nation as a key player in the global energy market.
