London, July 3 (The Energy Circle) - ABL has been awarded a prestigious contract by the Indonesian branch of Malaysian national oil company PETRONAS to deliver rig inspection services to its offshore assets in Indonesia. The contract, valid for one year with an option to extend for an additional year, encompasses a wide array of services. These include rig assurance, equipment-focused inspections, drilling readiness peer reviews, client representation, and technical risk assessments.

The project will be managed and resourced by ABL’s Indonesian team based in Jakarta, with additional support from their newly established office in Batam, Indonesia. ABL, part of the Oslo-listed ABL Group ASA, is renowned for its consultancy services in energy, marine, engineering, and digital solutions, promoting safety and sustainability in the renewables, maritime, and oil and gas sectors globally.

The acquisition of international wells and reservoir consultants, AGR, last year has further strengthened ABL’s capabilities. This merger allows ABL and AGR to offer an end-to-end, project-focused approach to rig operations, providing tailored services to meet the specific needs and requirements of their clients.
